About 20 years ago, my straight mom called and told me that she'd been invited by a lesbian friend to a party in Fairfield, CT. When she got there, it was all women (duh), all well-heeled, dressed beautifully. She told me she had a wonderful time, and enjoyed dancing cheek-to-cheek with a woman who'd asked - my mom appreciated the smooth cheek, no stubble. As they drove back to the city, her friend asked whether she'd been uncomfortable. "Not in the slightest!", my mom replie ... d. Her friend said, "Well, I was completely uncomfortable. We were the only Jews there." That's a cute (maybe) story, but I want to make a greater point. We come in all stripes. We'd better learn to accept each other's stripes, as well as our own, and find peace in the world. We need to find humanity in each other. But if the only way you can prove your progressive bona fides is through hate... you're doing it wrong. Labels can limit. I found this news item terribly sad. sexy prom dresses 2019
